The Motion Variable Filter is such a great addition to my iPhone! I love it and it works perfect! Thank You so much, SANDMARC!!!!
The build quality is excellent. It does what it is supposed to do. Fits on my anamorphic lens and has other mounting option namely clip mount or Step up Ring-Filter Case Mount.
Beautiful! It does exactly what it's supposed to do. I was concerned whether it would fit properly over iPhone 12 Pro Max—it does! Looking forward to sunny days this coming spring to do some outdoor shooting.
It pains to say this, but I was so disappointed when the Motion Variable Filter arrived. The build and quality are top-notch. The problem is it does not cover all three lenses on the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which, for me, defeats the purpose. Even when adjusted over the Ultra Wide lens, there is still vignetting due to the inadequate diameter of the filter. It's like buying a sports car with a V-12 engine and only using eight cylinders.
The Motion Filter will work with all three cameras and we have sent you the alignment guideline to make it work. The Lidar sensor and flash is covered, but we wouldn't recommend using our filters at night, as the purpose of the filters is to manage light.
Having recently taken up iphone videography, I quickly realised that quality footage depends on being able to control the shutter speed. This filter allow that with ease on the Wide, Zoom and even, in situations where a slight vignette is not noticeable or off-putting, on Ultra Wide. I’m really pleased with it and have just purchased the compatible anamorphic lens to further explore what’s possible in a pocket-sized setup. Check out my recent video for a flavour of what this can do (the older clips in the piece, while good and more than serviceable — equipment will always be second to content — are nowhere near as attractive and smooth as those with the ND on. https://youtu.be/VMu5FuztdOc
