Yes. A third party pro camera app is required to manually select and lock the telephoto camera. The native iPhone app may switch lenses automatically.

No. It is designed exclusively for the telephoto tetraprism camera and will not work on the 1x main camera.

It is compatible with models: iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

At 24MP and 24x, you still retain strong detail, but maximum resolution and clarity are achieved at 48MP and 12x.

Autofocus works normally when using a compatible pro camera app. Stability becomes more important at higher magnification.
