Only a 4 because the lens doesn't have a lock point and occasionally turns when using the Polarizing filter or my fingers just accidentally move it then everything is skewed of course. I shouldn't have to be looking out for that and EVERYTHING else too..... I put a piece of tape on it to keep it squared up horizontally with the iPhone lens. And - it is very hard to screw on to the case mount. I'm very dexterous but I feel sorry for someone who is not. It takes a while to get the hang of, definitely. Otherwise, it's a beautifully subtle lens.
Love shooting ultra wide with this and Filmic Pro! They are a great combo! It’s a bit challenging to mount the lens to the phone, though.
I haven’t used it that much yet, just tried it out a few times but very happy with the result. The plan is to make a music video with it so I will perhaps buy the Sandmarc light also.
Lens does what to expect, but the case could be more substantial.
The free case that is provided is a minimal case to get you to start shooting. For a more substantial case, be sure to check our Pro case (purchased separately) here: https://www.sandmarc.com/collections/iphone-lens-cases
